Nocturnal Wanderings: In Search of Owls
Let your children and the entire family go in search of mysterious night flyers, owls, at Sweetbriar Nature Center at 7:30 p.m. Monday. Dress warm and bring a flashlight. Reservations are suggested. 

Women in the Military
Celebrate Veterans Day by visiting the Suffolk Y Jewish Community Center's exhibition "Women in the Military" featuring artwork, photographs and personal items from women who have served our nation. Exhibit is open daily, 6:30 a.m - 9:45 a.m. through Nov. 17.

Smithtown Board of Zoning Appeals
The Town of Smithtown's Board of Zoning Appeals will hold public hearing at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Eugene Cannataro Senior Citizen Center. Keep an eye on Patch to learn that's on the agenda. 

 Successful Interviewing & Closing the Deal
Don't let an interview question catch you off guard. Join the Suffolk Y Jewish Community Center for a workshop on the interviewing process at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday followed by "Closing the Deal" a workshop on evaluating and accepting job offers at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. Free admission.

Commack Board of Education
The Commack Board of Education will hold their monthly meeting at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Hubbs Administration Center. Superintendent Donald James has promised a special presentation on how meetings are conducted under the open meeting law.
