HGTV Casting for "Rescue My Renovation"

A New York-based production company is looking for local homeowners who have been the victims of bad contractors.

Boy Wonder Productions is casting the second season of "Rescue my Renovation," an HGTV series where a crew of contractors hopes to turn renovation nightmares into dreams come true.

"Our expert, John DeSilvia, steps in, assesses the damage, and gets the job done right,” according to production coordinator Kaitlin Firstbrook.

In "Rescue My Renovation" crews demolish, build, renovate and refurbish projects in Tri-State area homes.

“If you have been a victim of a contractor who has done shoddy work on your home, they want to hear your story,” Firstbrook said.

If you would like to be considered for the new series and are currently living in nightmarish conditions, email casting@boywonderproductions.net.

The casting company is asking respondents to include their name, telephone number, address, age, and photos and video of the “nightmare” in question, as well as:

  • A bit about yourself and your family;
  • How your dream renovation has become a nightmare;
  • How it has changed your life;
  • What steps need to be taken to get the project completed correctly this time around.

If the show can help, someone from the casting team will be in touch, Firstbrook said.
