Joe Taylor to Perform with Rick Springfield at the Paramount on July 13th

Continuing a long string of high profile performance dates in support of his “Anything’s Possible” release, singer/songwriter Joe Taylor will share the stage with fellow recording artist Rick Springfield at the Paramount Theater in New York on July 13th, 2013.

A shared interest in songwriting and performing has previously brought Taylor and Springfield together in the studio. Taylor recorded backing vocals for Springfield’s latest CD release titled “Songs for the End of the World,” and Springfield shared in-studio recording on Taylor’s “Anything’s Possible” CD along with band mate (bassist) Matt Bissonette.

Taylor’s “Anything’s Possible” CD offers an introspective look into the song styling of a young, but seasoned veteran on the New York music scene. With seemingly countless performance dates under his belt, Taylor has independently filled halls from NYC to Los Angeles with shows across the country and music placement in television, including NBC’s Days Of Our Lives in 2008. In 2009, Taylor was a featured Top Ten artist on the FM dial in his native region of Ottawa, Canada and has received consistent airplay throughout the national college radio circuit. In 2010 he assembled a working band and wrote the songs that would ultimately come together as “Anything’s Possible,” his solo debut full-length album release.

Tens of thousands of daily travelers have been witness to Taylor’s work throughout New York City’s subway system, while perhaps not even knowing whom this young star was when they heard him play. Placed twice in New York Times video features, earning the nickname “The Subway Idol,” Taylor was followed on camera throughout his audition process to earn one of an extremely limited number of Performing Artist permits that would allow him to publically perform in exchange for payment. Selected from more than 1000 applicants to audition, Taylor hauled his equipment to city hall and displayed his artistry for the judging committee. With a single song performance, he was chosen to receive a permit and has spent years entertaining passing admirers during his off-tour schedule.

At the Paramount in Huntington, NY, fans both old and new will enjoy music from “Anything’s Possible,” and will have an opportunity to leave with a copy of the music for themselves. The CD features a collaboration of artists that came in to the studio to share their time and talents including Kevin Fisher (Rascal Flatts), Jim Hanft and Michael Lord (Alias) and drummer Matt Laug who plays on the multi-platinum release by Alanis Morrisette “Jagged Little Pill.” Recorded with Jeff Gross (Brian Wilson, Styx, Rick Springfield) and engineered by the Grammy-Award winning Matthew Spindel (Santana, Don Henley, Fleetwood Mac), listeners will find a sound that rings with the heartfelt and soulful voice of artists like Steve Perry while bringing a stellar songwriting ability that bears resemblance to long standing FM radio talents of the 70’s with the sound of today’s top pop idols.
