SUFFOLK FEDERAL AND ITS MEMBERS CONTRIBUTE $15,000 TO STONY BROOK CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL

Suffolk Federal Credit Union and its members proudly contributed $15,000 to Stony Brook Children’s Hospital, helping to make a difference in the pediatric healthcare community. Stony Brook Children’s offers comprehensive care for childhood illnesses by providing unique physician expertise, the latest technology and equipment, and support staff 24/7.

“At Suffolk Federal, we are proud to come together with our members to support such a worthy cause,” said William J. O’Brien, President & CEO of Suffolk Federal. “It’s important to families across Long Island to know that children have access to such exceptional care through Stony Brook Children’s Hospital. We will certainly continue to put forth our greatest effort to support their mission.”

“We are grateful for this generous outpouring of support from Suffolk Federal’s members as well as Mr. O’Brien’s personal gift,” said Dr. Margaret McGovern, Children’s Hospital Physician-In-Chief. “This investment in Stony Brook Children’s will pay dividends for Suffolk County’s children and the families who love them for generations to come.”

“I’m extremely proud of the contributions that Suffolk Federal makes to the community, especially such an important cause as Stony Brook Children’s Hospital” said Frank Trotta, Secretary, Suffolk Federal Board of Directors.

Suffolk Federal’s $15,000 contribution consisted of a $10,000 Stony Brook Children’s event sponsorship and a $5,000 membership fundraiser. Mr. O’Brien and his wife, Leslie, made a personal contribution to the hospital as well. All contributions to Stony Brook Children’s are currently matched by an anonymous donor.
