10 Places to Get Your Christmas Tree

From the North Fork to Commack and beyond, there are plenty of places to pick up a tree this holiday season.

1. Trees on Jericho Turnpike: You can pick up a tree on Jericho Turnpike in the former gas station next to The Spare Rib and across from Friendly's.

2. Bubba's Garden: The festive gardening location on Veterans Memorial Highway, across from the Post Office has a variety of trees for you to choose from. They also provided Patch with.

3. : Not in the mood to clean up all the pine needles at the end of the holiday? Try a fake tree from Target. They have a variety of sizes, colors and options of lights or no lights.

4. : Home Depot also has a variety of fake trees, as well as small potted varieties. These table-top trees are watered throughout the holiday season and can be replanted in a yard after the New Year.

5.  Costco not only has fake trees, table top versions and light displays, they've also got garlands for your lawns or stairways and a variety of other holiday items.

6. Park Ave Nursery: This has a variety of trees and garland for holiday use.

7. Pick your own tree: If you are in the mood to cut down your own tree, then North Fork Preserve Christmas Tree Farm in Riverhead is the place for you. With over 5,000 trees to choose from – and operating hours from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. from now until Dec. 23 – there are plenty of ways to ensure that you get the exact tree you want. You can contact the farm at (631) 369-9592. Prices range from $55 to $75 depending on whether you want a cut or balled tree, with the balled tree being able to be re-planted. 

8. Tilden Lane Farm: If you'd like to choose your own tree a bit closer to home, you can head over to Greenlawn on Dec. 4, Dec. 5, Dec. 11 or Dec. 12 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to pick a tree at Tilden Lane Farms. This working farm allows you to choose your own tree and cut it if you'd like – they will also cut down a tree for you.

9. Prianti Farms Inc: A former Commack-based nursery, this full-service nursery is now based in Dix Hills and has approximately six different varieties of pre-cut Christmas trees. They also have garlands, poinsettias and wreaths.

10. Hicks Nurseries in Westbury: In addition to offering Christmas trees, wreaths and traditional decorations, Hicks will also be showcasing two live reindeer throughout the holiday season. Visit Dasher and Donner from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday to Saturday and from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays
