Commack Educational Foundation and Music Idol presents Commack Rocks, an even where teens can compete in an American Idol style competition with a live band from the School of Rock at 7 p.m. Friday at . There will be two featured cover bands, performing Van Halen and Ozzie Osborn.  


The Smithtown Performing Arts Center presents their performance of the comedy Avenue Q, about a recent college graduate named Princeton who is trying to find his way in New York. Performances are 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Tickets are $45.

Children in kindergarten through second grade can show their appreciation for dad this Father's Day by making a chocolate pizza at the at 10 a.m. Saturday. Preregistration is required. 


Get out and enjoy the sunshine after a week of rain at the Caleb Smith State Park with a 5-mile moderate hike acrosse varied terrain led by the Long Island Green Belt Trail club at 9 a.m. Saturday. Parking fees apply.

If your student needs a hand brushingup before their exams next week, Suffolk Y JCC is offers Regents Review Courses at 9 a.m Sunday. On June 17, the focus will be on Algebra 2/Trigonometry, Geometry. Students should bring Baron's review book, pencils and calculator. Cost is $78.
