5 Events Happening This Weekend

Join the hunt for easter eggs or celebrate the start of spring at Sweet Briar Nature Center.

As you make plans to celebrate this holiday weekend, whether Passover or Easter, take time to consider heading out to one of these five community events: 

Live Music at Napper Tandy's
Head out and catch a live performance by Crash Monday at Napper Tandy's in Smithtown 10 p.m. Friday. Cover charge ranges $5 to $10 per event. 

Easter Party & Egg Hunt
Celebrate Easter at at their Easter Party and Egg Hunt on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Participate in children's games, crafts and a massive egg hunt followed by light lunch, during which a special guest will visit. RSVP to 631-499-7310.

Spring Festival
Welcome in the spring season at Sweet Briar Nature Center's Spring Festival this Saturday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. It will be a day full of painting, games, stories, egg hunts and a special appearance by the Easter Bunny. 

The Plant-Based Diet
Learn how to create seasonal dishes and have a nutritious plant-based diet from Tim Williams, Whole Food's Health Eating Specialist, on Saturday at noon.

Sunken Meadow Ramble
Take advantage of the warm weather. All are welcome on this walk from the north end of the Long Island Trail to Old Dock Road and back. Walk is four miles. Sunken Meadow State Park, Saturday, 10 a.m.
