5 Events to Hit Up This Week

Nature Camp starts up at Hoyt Farm and the Northport Firemen's Fair runs all week.

 

Children can explore the world around us at s Summer Nature Camp using live animals, hands on activities, games and crafts. This camp program is designed for children between ages 7 - 10. Three different sessions will be offered for the summer. Session I starts Monday at 9 a.m.


Long Island Science Center will give a presentation to children entering first to fourth grade on how to make everyone's favorite summer treat, ice cream, at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Registration is required.

A free 2 1/2 hour course to teach new drivers how to avoid dangerous driving situations, open to teens ages 16-19. July 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13. (choose one day). 9:00am to 11:30am or 1:00pm to 3:30pm.

What could be better than a carnival on a summer night?  Northport Firemen's Fair offers rides, games, food and fun for the whole family and all for in support of the volunteer fire department starting Monday - Saturday, from 7 p.m to 11 p.m.

Teens are invited to enjoy an evening of fun at the Safe Summer Night Program at Hoyt Farm, 6 p.m. Tuesday in a supervised drug and alcohol-free environment. Middle school and high school students can play volleyball, basketball, horseshoes, bocce, do arts & crafts, sing karoake or play games.
