5 Local Events to Hit This Weekend

Head out for a swim, honors sports athletes or watch local theatre this weekend near Commack.


Hit up the this Saturday at noon to learn how to download E-books and audiobooks from their Live-brary.com system. 

Head over to the nearby Smithtown Center for the Performing Arts to watch an off-Broadway production of Avenue Q, a comedic musical that tells the story of recent college graduate Princeton who moves into a shabby New York City apartment as he attempts to find what to do with his life, as told through puppets. Tickets cost $45. 

Women's Only Swim Night
Can't wait for the summer to arrive? Grab your bathing suit and head to the Women's Only swim night at the this Saturday at 6 p.m. There will also be a beginner swim lesson from 6:45 p.m. to 7:15 p.m.

National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame Induction
Join the Suffolk Y JCC for its 20th annual National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame and Museum induction ceremony on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. The Suffolk Y will induct nine new members into the Hall of Fame while giving out several awards. 

Head down to Whole Food on Satruday at noon and learn about the Engine 2 Diet program.  Explore recipes and discuss plant-based eating.
