5 Things You Can't Do in Commack

There's plenty of things to do in Commack, but here are a few you can't.

1. Visit Marion Carll Farm: This is something all Commack residents should cherish. Except for the fact that residents aren't allowed to step foot on it.

2. Drive Down Commack Road or Jericho Turnpike Without Hitting Any Traffic: No matter what time of day, a trip down either road will result in frustration. We dare you to prove us wrong.

3. Visit the Commack Public Library AND Hoyt Farm: Depending on which township you live in, it's either one or the other, folks.

4. Stroll Down Main Street: As Patch columnist Amanda Walsh has , there simply isn't one. To get any sort of downtown feeling, you have to hop in a car, brave the traffic on Jericho Turnpike and head to Northport or Huntington Village.

5. Bring Your Kids For A Stay at the Commack Motor Inn: While Commack's notorious hourly rated motel has a distinctive history, you're more likely to find a child being conceived there than a child sleeping there.
