#77- See A Summer Concert At Hoyt Farm

The sunny skies and warm temperatures of summer create the perfect environment for outdoor activities. If you're growing tired of laying on the beach or by the pool every weekend, stop by for the free summer concert series.

The , which runs through July and August, offers Commack families the chance to spend a (hopefully cool) summer night at the scenic nature preserve and hear live music.

And did we mention it's free?

The concert series is made possible by the Smithtown Department of Recreation and Cablevision.

Acts who've already played at the farm this summer include Van Halen tribute band Completely Unchained, big band-sounding Naked Truth, and girls group idolizers The Chiclettes. But with summer only half-way through, there are still plenty of great acts coming. On that list are Journey and The Beatles tribute bands Evolution and Wondrous Stories, respectively, and 12-piece soul music-lovers Soul Be It. 

Rounding out the weekend concerts are a show geared towards kids on July 29 and an outdoor viewing of The Wizard of Oz on August 5.
