April 18: Stay Entertained During Spring Break

Here's whats going on today in and around Commack.

Spring break has officially begun, and it's time to get out and really enjoy the season. Although the weather hasn't exactly been cooperating lately, we've got a list of exciting indoor activities so you and the kids can make the most out of your vacation rain or shine.

1. School's out for Commack kids, and for the next week students and teachers can relax, have fun and enjoy themselves before heading on back for the home stretch into summer.

2. Take your little one to, where kids ages 5 to 11 can participate in hands-on games and crafts while learning about nature. The fun lasts all day, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

3. If you're child or teen is itching to stay active during the break, sign them up for a sports mini-camp at . You can choose to attend either a full or half day. 

4.: The Suffolk Y JCC will host their weekly shape-up class for those looking for a low-intensity cardio workout with stretching and toning exercises mixed in. Classes run on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m..
