April 19: Legos, Nature Workshops and School Budget Coverage

With the warm weather creeping in, locals once again can turn to Sweetbriar Preserve for family fun.

There are plenty of events happening Tuesday to keep parents and the kids busy during spring break, rain or shine. Stay tuned to Patch later today for a look at local companies that are in the market to hire full-time and part-time workers, as well as an in-depth analysis of the latest unemployment numbers.

1. : Take your little one to this special play session, where they will put their creativity to the test while building with Legos. The class, which costs $45, lasts from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and includes pizza and drinks. The session is open to kids ages 5 and up.

2. : The artwork of 10 Commack High School juniors and seniors is on display at the Huntington Arts Council's Art-trium. Go see what these talented students have created. The gallery is open all day.

3. : Take your little one to, where kids ages 5 to 11 can participate in hands-on games and crafts while learning about nature. The fun lasts all day, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

4. : Stop by the Main Branch of the Smithtown Library for a few rounds of bingo from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. The game is open to children in grades K through 5.
