April 20: Community Says Goodbye to Killed Teen

Friends and family will honor Taylor Cavaliere at a memorial service at St. Matthew's church in Dix Hills.

All of Commack will be mourning the loss of 16-year-old Taylor Cavaliere on Wednesday, as she is honored by friends and family and laid to rest in Farmingdale.

1. : An open funeral mass will be held at 10:45 a.m. at for Taylor Cavaliere, the Commack High School junior who was earlier this week.

2. : This nature program teaches kids ages 5 and up about animals who camouflage themselves as a means of protection. During the program, which begins at 10 a.m., children will search areas of Caleb Smith State Park looking for critters in camouflage.

3. : Take your little one to this special play session, where they will put their creativity to the test while building with Legos. The class, which costs $45, lasts from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and includes pizza and drinks. The session is open to kids ages 5 and up.

4. : The Indian Hollow PTA is sponsoring a spring break showing of Rio at Elwood Cinema. The movie begins at 10 a.m., and the $8 price gets you admission, popcorn and a drink.
