Armed Robbery Suspect Arrested

Cash 4 Gold was robbed on Thursday and the Huntington Station man was arrested on Friday by Suffolk County PD.

A man armed with a small black handgun went into , announced a robbery and demanded money and jewelry.  An employee complied with the man's request.  The suspect was last seen fleeing in an eastbound direction toward Commack Road at approximately 4:15 p.m., police said. 

A Huntington Station man was arrested for the robbery of two pawn shops, Cash for Gold and one at 82 West Main Street, Smithtown, on Thursday, police said. 

Second Precinct Community Oriented Police Enforcement (COPE) officers Dennis McKeefery and James Bebry were on patrol at approximately 9:00 a.m. when they located Jeffrey Green, 20, of 7 Hillwood Drive, in front of his home.

Second Squad detectives charged Green with one count of first degree robbery and third degree criminal possession of a weapon. Fourth Squad detectives charged Green with one count of first degree robbery. Green is scheduled for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip on Saturday.
