Closings, Cancelations and Delays in Commack

Mass Transit

• Suspended service on the West Hempstead and Huntington/Port Jefferson Lines.
• Flights at McArthur Airport delayed until 1pm.

School and Library 

• The Commack Public Library and The Smithtown Special Library District will both open at 1pm.
• Commack School District has canceled school for the day, and all after-school and evening activities. All Regents exams scheduled for Thursday will be postponed until June 2011.
• The Suffolk Y Jewish Community Center is closed for Thursday.

Mail Service

• The Commack Post Office is open as of 8am this morning. Mail delivery has not been suspended. As one Postal Worker put it, "We're going to do the best we can."
