Commack Graduate Wins Journalism Award

Virginia Huie wins a regional Edward R. Murrow award for her writing.

A Commack High School graduate is receiving recognition for her journalism work. 

Virginia Huie, a News12 Long Island reporter, was chosen to receive a prestigous regional Edward R. Murrow award for her writing. Murrow award recipients are chosen for demonstrating the excellence that renown journalist Edward R. Murrow made a standard for the electronic news profession. 

Huie's work was chosen out of more than 3,500 entries submitted for the regional competition. This is her fourth Edward R. Murrow award.
