Commack residents will discuss the future preservation of Marion Carll Farms and Townline Road traffic at their December meeting.
Commack Community Association will host their monthly meeting 7 p.m. Thursday at the Commack Public Library on Hauppauge Road. The civic association's meeting is open to all Commack residents and business owners.
Frank Vicenti, a representative of The Wild Dog Foundation based in Mineola, will start the meeting with a presentation to Commack residents. The non-profit groups aim is to help protect wild dogs in their natural settings and promote restoration of wolves to the Adirondack State Park in New York.
Following the presentation, Commack Community Association plans to discuss any progress made by their consideration in formation a crisis planning group for the community.
Civic leaders presented the Townline Road petition to restrict trucking on local roadways to Huntington Town Board on Dec. 18.
