Commack Community Association to Discuss Marion Carll Farm, Industrial Zones

Commack Community Association will host their monthly meeting 7 p.m. Thursday at the Commack branch of Smithtown Library District.

Commack residents will be tackling a number of local issues from the Marion Carll Farm to zoning of the industrial business zoning at Thursday night's meeting. 

The Commack Community Association will be hosting its monthly meeting 7 p.m. Thursday at the The meeting is open to all Commack residents with an interest in local events. 

William Hillman, chief engineer for Suffolk County Department of Public Works, will be the featured key speakers of the night. Hillman will be able to provide residents with the latest news on local traffic and development projects.

Following Hillman's presentation, the civic association will be discussing the Marion Carll Farm Preservation, which takes on a new light as to repossess the historic property. 

Also on the agenda is conversation about the rezoning of the businesses within the industrial area between Commack and Kings Park, and Forest Laboratories zoning request. Both of these conversations revolve around the issues of residential quality of life versus neighboring industrial facilities.
