Dec. 18 is Storytelling, Dance, and Yoga

Get into the winter and holiday spirit by attending a read aloud at either Borders in Stony Brook, Sweet Briar in Smithtown, or, of course, the Commack Public Library.

Whether you're looking to relax with the kids and hear stories, do some yoga, or organize yourself with our holiday guides, there is plenty to do in and around Commack today.

1. :  Call ahead to reserve a spot at to listen to Long Island storytellers tell their best nature tales, make crafts, and enjoy some light refreshments.  This event is for families, and lasts from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. It costs $5 per person for members, $6 for non-members.

2. :  Cheer for the Boys Varsity Basketball team as they play Elwood at 11 a.m. at .

3. :  Take your children to a free family yoga session and storytelling by Wee Warriors Yoga Playtime at Borders in Stony Brook.  The session is from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

4. :  Register your first through twelfth grader for classes at the , and learn some of the fundamental moves necessary to audition for musicals. See the Smithtown PAC site for class times and fees.
