Attendees are asked to bring a food donation to help feed Long Islanders in need.

In honor of Martin Luther King Day, an interfaith prayer service and concert entitled "Shelter Me, O God" is scheduled for 2 p.m. at the Suffolk Y Jewish Community Center.

To pay hommage to King's memory, the Suffolk Y JCC has teamed up with rockCANroll to help Long Islanders in need. Attendees are asked to bring a healthy and nutritious food donation for local food pantries.

A reception will immediately to follow the prayer service, featuring exhibits of programs that support hungry, homeless and ill housed people on Long Island.
