Feb. 28: Attend A Commack Community Meeting

Here's waht's going on today in and around Commack.

Send February out in style by participating in one of the many interesting events going on around town today, including an art class, a community meeting and a discussion about the psychology behind serial killers.

1. : Stay on top of community issues or have your voice heard at the Commack Community Association meeting, which will take place at at 7 p.m. Guests speakers will include Tom Wade, Operations Supervisor, Paul Mattera, Division Manager and Deb Leposa, Emergency Restoration Manager, all from LIPA. 

2. : This class teaches adults and adolescents about painting and incorporating color theory into their art. Held weekly at the , this class begins at 5:30 p.m. and is open to ages 16 and up.

3. Back to School: Vacation is officially over, and today all the kids in Commack Union Free School District return to school.

4. What Makes Serial Killers Tick?: Join author Tom Philbin in a psychological journey to find out what makes serial killers tick. Long Island serial killers including Joel Rifkin and Richard Angelo, aka "The Angel of Death" will be at the forefront of the discussion, which takes place at the at 7 p.m.
