Five Places to Eat Dinner Out This Christmas

Local restaurants to eat out – or order in – this Christmas.

If you're tired of cooking by the time Christmas Day rolls around, you might be surprised to find out that there are several restaurants open on Christmas Day. So pull up a chair, make some reservations and prepare to enjoy your holiday. 

1. : A regular Commack favorite for any occasion, Jackson's is one of the few restaurants in the Commack area that is open on Christmas Day.  They will have the regular menu and will serve a 3-course meal with specials.  Reservations are suggested and you can either eat in or take out.  They are noted for their salads, ribs, pork, steaks and other reasonably priced American meals.

2. : Located in the nearby Northport area, Campari is another one of the few great restaurants open for Christmas Day.  It is suggested you make a reservation.  There are specials every night, including Christmas.  They are noted for their chicken dinners and steak.  They now deliver and offer gluten-free pastas.

3. : Another choice for Christmas dinner in the Northport area is Pumpernickel's.  They will be serving their regular menu, and are noted for their house specials (served a la carte), continental dinners and seafood specials.

4. Happy Wok: For a quick bite of Chinese and Japanese food, the Happy Wok is another choice for dinner on Christmas Day.  They serve specials everyday and have a quick take out service.  Deliver is free with a $10 minimum order.

A great choice for Chinese take out in the Commack area is Win On Chinese Food.  They are noted for their low-priced combo platters and lunch and dinner specials.  Each serving is prepared fresh according to the customers requests.  They often include freebies such as egg rolls, wonton soup, fried rice and sesame chicken depending on how much you spend.
