Frugal Family: Italian Dining Deals

Corned beef and cabbage has been the recent special on many a local menu, but at this point, we've all had our fill. Swap the green beer for a nice Chianti to pair with this week’s Italian frugal finds. Pizza and pasta are universal kid picks, and the area’s restaurants and pizzerias are offering tremendous value. Head out as a family, or have a parents’ night around Commack. Buon appetito, amici.

The Deal: Monday is dubbed customer appreciation day at this Commack Road eatery. From 4 p.m. until close, $19.95 gets you an appetizer, entrée, dessert and coffee. A children’s menu is available for $12.95.

The Deal: Hit their March Madness special on Tuesdays and Wednesdays: It’s half prices drinks and appetizers at the bar from open until close.

3.  Caffe Catania

The Deal: This newly opened pizzeria wants everyone to try their slice with a buy one get one free special. Offer good from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. daily until April 15.

4.  Filetto’s Ristornate

The Deal: Kids eat free in this East Northport establishment Sunday through Thursday with each adult entrée purchase of $14.95 or more. Something to keep in mind—the offer is not good with the pasta or parmigiana specials.

The Deal: As part of Smithtown’s Restaurant Week, Andreas 25 is offering a three-course prixe fixe menu for $24.95 from March 20 through the 27th.
