Have You Raked Up All Your Leaves Yet?

It took a little longer than usual, but the leaves around Commack have ffinally turned and are falling all over lawns.

Smithtown Highway Superintendent Glenn Jorgensen said due to the late season, his crews would be to collect laves throughout the town.

Jorgensen advised homeowners to place bags on the curb rather than the street, and stresses the importance of not putting foreign objects or non-organic matter in the bags. Small twigs are OK, he said, but larger sticks should be bundled together and placed separately from leaves.
