Here's what to do in Commack on Thursday

The weekend is almost here. Pass the time with one of these events:

1. : Grab your sabres, foils and épées, as both the boys and girls fencing teams take on Centereach. The duels begin at 4 p.m.

2. : No matter your age, physical activity is good for your body. To that end, the holds low-intensity cardio workouts at 11:15 a.m. for senior citizens. The cost for 10 sessions is $31 for members and $61 for non-members.

3. : The girls basketball team looks to defend its home turf against William Floyd. Tip-off is at 6:30 p.m.

4. : Especially when they are the names of two adorable pooches up for adoption at in Huntington. The pair of 8-year-old female poodles are looking for a loving home to bring their furry faces to. If you're interested, call the Shelter at 631-368-8770.
