March 15: Town of Huntington Hosts Cyberbullying Seminar

Here's what's going on today in and around town.

We've got a busy day ahead of us, filled with budget and writer's meetings, a hands-on science workshop and a cyberbullying seminar.

1. : Unfortunately, cyberbullying has become an epidemic among teens. That's why the Town of Huntington is hosting a cyberbullying seminar tonight at 7 p.m. at the Town Clerk's office, located at 100 Main St. in Huntington. If you child is in Middle School or High School, be sure to bring them along.

2. : Want to flex those writing muscles? Consider joining the Long Island Writers Guild, who are meeting today at from 1 to 3 p.m.

3. Budget Workshop: Tonight is the third school budget work session, focusing on special education and athletic/co-curricular activities. Be sure to stop in at the Little Theatre of at 8 p.m.

4. : Dive into science in this hands-on series. Held every Tuesday for the next five weeks, classes include Dairy Delights, Goin' BUGgy, Shearly Delightful Sheep, Popcorn Palooza and Your Nose Knows. Sessions are held at the 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Registration is required.
