March 8: Budget Season Kicks Off at CHS

Here's what's going on today in and around town.

We've got a busy day today—packed with a school budget session, a book signing, a book sale and more. Whatever floats your boat, be sure to take part in these events before the pass you by.

1. : The school budget season officially kicks off tonight, with the first public budget work session at 8 p.m. in the little theatre at . The first topics on the agenda are Elementary Education and District-wide Administrative Codes.

2. : Dr. Richard Isaacson, a Commack High School graduate, is swinging by Book Revue in Huntington at 7 p.m. to discuss and sign copies of his new book, Treating Alzheimer's Preventing Alzheimer's: A Patient and Family Guide.

3. Play Auditions: The at is holding an open casting call for an upcoming production of Oliver!. At 7 p.m., the doors open for boys aged 7-17 and girls aged 12 and up. At 8 p.m., adults are welcome to audition.

4. : is hosting a book fair from 6 to 8 p.m. Stop by and snag some of the titles your child has been wanting to read.
