Marion Carll Farm Saved by Residents in 2010

As residents continue to work to get Marion Carll up and running, we take a look at what they did to save the farm this year.

From June to December, the Commack Community Association and other members of the community worked together to save the Marion Carll Farm. Here's a look back at what was done from the referendum to the creation of the Friends of Marion Carll group.

Residents united to protest the sale of the farm to a residential developer.

Friends of the Marion Carll Farm was formed, and community organizers urged residents to join the group and rally to have the farm placed under the Suffolk land preserve.

A resident examined the lack of support for the referendum and expressed her feelings about residents general lack of support for the community.

Days after the referendum failed, residents placed signs at the farm thanking everyone for their support.
