May 10: Hypnosis and Summer Salad Making

Both libraries are offering interesting educational courses Tuesday night.

1. : Let a certified clinical hypnotist guide you through hypnosis at the from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The class is free, but registration is required.

2.: In preparation for summer, the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 22-01 is hosting boating safety classes at Half Hollow Hills East High School in Dix Hills. The six-class series is held each Tuesday from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.

3. : Chef Ed Kaufmann of Chef Ed's Creative Cuisine will be at the from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. demonstrating techniques for creating and presenting spring and summer salads.

4. : Eagle Scout Kevin Chaves is on a mission to rasie 500 lbs. of food to donate to a local food pantry to recently burned down. Help Kevin reach his goal by dropping off non-perishable food items at King Kullen through May 31.
