Summer Construction Brings Sidewalks to Townline Road
Hauppuage parents who feared their teens walking to school on busy roadways may be able to breath easier next school year.

Construction crews are preparing to create a continuous sidewalk along the north side of Townline Road, spanning from Lincoln Boulevard  east to Hoffman Lane. Construction is scheduled to start by June 24, announced Legis. John Kennedy, R-Nesconset.

Man Accused of Skimming Kings Park ATM
A man leaving court on charges of skimming a Kings Park ATM was re-arrested Wednesday on new charges.  

Suffolk County Police  arrested Marian Serban, a Romanian citizen, after an appearance in First District Court in Central Islip. He was at the courthouse on charges of skimming an Astoria Federal Savings bank ATM on Main Street in Kings Park. He had been arrested March 13.

FROM THREE VILLAGE: 

Monday’s Cable Outages Frustrate Local Residents
As the rain began to fall on Monday, many residents in the Three Village area reported losing cable television, phone and internet service around 11:30 a.m. The service outages, though, were not the direct result of the weather: A Cablevision spokesperson confirmed to Patch that a car accident in a nearby area took out a utility pole, causing the service outages.
