Nov. 20 is Crafts, Plays, and Jazz Shows

Take time this Saturday to get in touch with your artsier side at some of these events.

This Saturday, Commack, Smithtown, and Stony Brook are hosting different interesting events, including turkey crafts for young children and jazz music performances for the more mature audience.  If there are other events that you would like to share, feel free to add them to our calendar.

1. :  See the Tony Award winning play that picks up where Fiddler on the Roof left off, which is being performed tonight at 8 p.m.  General admission tickets are $22 per person, and $17 for seniors and students.

2. :  Help support the Cleary School for the Deaf in Nesconset by shopping among their variety of goods from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m..

3. :  Go to to see clarinet and saxophone player Ken Peplowski's "Welcome to the Club," featuring Pete Barbutti, a Tonight Show veteran. Tickets are $38 per person, and the show starts at 8 p.m.

4. Make a Turkey Flower pot:  Bring your pre-kindergarten-aged child to the Commack Public Library to learn how to turn an ordinary flower pot into a turkey by using paint and feathers. The activity is from 9:30 a.m. – 10:15 a.m., and all children must be accompanied by a parent or adult caregiver.

5. : Listen to Whole Foods Healthy Eating Specialist, Tim, for information on how to eat healthier around the holidays. This free event at the Whole Foods in Lake Grove begins at 1 p.m..
