Commack Boy Scouts paid honor and tribute to many of Long Island's fallen veterans this Memorial Day weekend.
Commack Boy Scout Troop 125 celebrated Memorial Day by participating in parades and memorial ceremonies across Long Island.
The Boy Scouts went to Pinelawn National Long Island Cemetery on May 26, beginning their Memorial Day weekend by placing flags at the graves of those who served their nation. This was followed by a brief memorial ceremony at Commack United Methodist Church, the troop's sponsors. The troops served up a breakfast for congregation members.
On Memorial Day, Commack Boy Scout Troop 125 marched in the town's annual parade down Jericho Turnpike and laid a memorial wreath at the monument where Jericho Turnpike meets Veterans Highway.
