Simba is a young male Shar Pei who was surrendered to the after his owner died and the owner's family could not care for him, as a family member suffered from allergies.

 The breed known as Shar Pei is known for having short, rough coat and numerous wrinkles, as well as for being loyal, loving watchdogs.
