Shelter Animal of the Week: Meet Ducky

Ducky is a 3-year-old cat at Smithtown Animal Shelter who was picked on by another cat where she used to live, and would now like to be the only cat in your home.

If you are looking to be a first-time cat owner, or you just don’t have a cat in your home, consider adopting Ducky, a 3-year-old domestic longhair.

Ducky was dropped off at because the other cat that she lived with bullied her constantly. She is happy to be away from the other cat, but is now waiting to be back in a comfortable home.

Ducky gets along well with dogs and children, so she would do well in most families. Because of her long fur, she would need a good brushing every now and then, but otherwise Ducky is very self-sufficient and would only look to be fed, pet, and have a soft bed.
