Shelter Animal of the Week: Meet Flora

Flora is a young, playful pit bull mix who gets along well with other dogs.

Flora has been overlooked for too long, and the League for Animal Protection of Huntington is trying to change this pup's luck around.

Flora is a two-year-old vivacious pit bull mix with white fur and black spots on her ears, with a distinctive black spot next to her right eye. Full of affection and life, Flora wants nothing more than someone to play fetch with her and give her belly rubs. Flora knows some commands, including "sit," "come," and "leave it," but would benefit from more obedience training. She is eager to learn, and needs a little help with walking on a leash. If you already have one or several dogs, consider adding Flora to your pack, as she gets along well with other dogs. Flora would do best in a home with older children or adults, and a home without cats.

Flora has her rabies shot and keeps her kennel clean (like being housetrained).
