Shelter Animal of the Week: Meet Willis

Willis is an affectionate young dog who is repeatedly overlooked at the shelter and is patiently waiting for his chance to shine.

Willis is a pit bull/laborador retriever mix with the who has been frequently overlooked, and has never been inquired about by people looking to adopt a dog.

Willis is about two years old, and is large, but has a slender build. Though he is big, he is well-mannered, gentle with treats, and walks nicely on a lead. Volunteers comment that he is generous with affection, and loves to snuggle up to people. When Willis is pet, he loves to lean in to whoever is petting him and sit patiently, enjoying all of the love and attention he can get. He is goofy and loves to chase tennis balls.

He appears to get along well with dogs, but if you have another dog at home, you can bring your dog by for a meet-and-greet.
