Shelter Animal of the Week: Meet Wilma

Wilma is a one-year-old terrier/lab mix who was rescued by Last Chance Animal Rescue and is looking to be adopted.

Last Chance Animal Rescue is a Long Island-based group that rescues animals in “kill” facilities that put down large amounts of animals and relocates the animals to “no-kill” facilities or foster families so that they have a chance at life.

Many of these animals come from southern states and are transported to Long Island to live with volunteers until they are adopted into their forever homes.

This week, they are featuring Wilma, a one-year-old terrier and Labrador mix.  She has beautiful chestnut and white fur that is short and easy to maintain. Wilma is friendly, and she is hoping to be placed in a home soon.
