Tell Us: Where Are the Potholes in Commack?

With winter in full swing, let’s identify the streets that need repair.

Potholes! It’s the equivalent of a curse on Long Island.

These gravelly, asphalt mini graves are the scourge of any commute, spilling coffee and jarring your teeth at every opportunity.

Winter isn't over, but some roads around Commack already need fixing.

Pothole season has been particularly bad this year across Long Island due to this winter's wide temperature shifts. The Long Island Expressway and Northern State Parkway had several lanes shut Sunday for pothole repairs, clogging traffic.

Patch is on a quest to uncover the roadways and intersections with the worst potholes. So sound off in the comments section and sound the alarm. Your car – and that minivan full of kids on the way to lacrosse practice – will thank you.

Patch will forward the comments to the town highway departments.

All Smithtown Township roads (including Commack) have gone downhill since the end of the Dowling Highway Superintendent era.
