Tween's Cupcake Sale Nets Hospital a Sweet Donation

St. Catherine's Hospital receives $535 donation from 12-year-old boy.

Gearing up for his Bar Mitzvah, Evan Mauner, 12, was looking for a cause to support. After some thought, he came up with an idea called “Cupcakes for a Cause” in honor of breast cancer awareness. Mauner baked cupcakes and sold them for  $1.00 each outside the Great River Post Office on two separate occasions. His efforts raised $535.00, which he donated to St. Catherine’s Women’s Health and Outpatient Diagnostic Pavilion.
“We are so moved by his thoughtfulness and generosity,” said radiologist Anne Green.
The funds will support Breast Imaging Services at the medical center.

Being originally from the area, and been a patient at St. Catherines on numerous occasions, that is just a great story. Tony
