Chocolatier Coming to Commack
A new store is coming to Commack that is set make chocolate lovers go coo-coo for cocoa.

Sabre Real Estate Group LLC recently arranged a lease for Chocolate Works, an upscale New York City Upper West Side chocolatier.

Chocolate Works is set to take over 1,520-square-feet of retail space, within the Peppertree Commons shopping center at the intersection of Jericho Turnpike and Townline Road. The store is expected to open in the fall.

Residents Beg Town Officials: Buffer Homes from Jericho Turnpike Biz
Residents are crying for Town of Smithtown officials to enforce town code to keep a Jericho Turnpike business out of their backyards. 

Commack and Smithtown residents spoke out against Prisco Reality's proposed plan to expand an existing tree service and auto dealership at 927 Jericho Turnpike as would bring commercial businesses to within 10 feet of their homes and impact their quality of life.

Two Men Convicted of Running Suffolk Heroin Ring
A Suffolk County jury has found two men guilty of running a heroin distribution ring that spanned from Sayville and Smithtown to Sound Beach. 

Joel Guzman, of Ridgewood, and Carlos Melendez, of the Bronx, were convicted on Class A-1 felony charges for operating as major drug traffickers following an eight-day trial and eight days of jury deliberation, according to District Attorney Thomas Spota. 

Vinyl Revived at Mr. Cheapo

Video may have killed the radio star, but vinyl has outlasted time at Mr. Cheapo, a new and used CD and record exchange store within the Mayfair Shopping Center in Commack.

Owner Stu Goldberg has been in the same location for 25 years and the business is still going strong.

“Despite technology and the internet, we’re still here. It’s beyond me,” he said.

Goldberg said that while the internet turned the music world on its head, the business, which also has a location in Mineola, has been profitable every year since it opened.

Commack: Home to Pizza City
Whether it's extra cheesy, coal-fired, grandma slice, crispy or covered in toppings, one will find the perfect pizza in Commack.

There are more than a dozen pizzerias in Commack, making it the place to taste-test the competition.
