Week in Review: Commack Gaming Company Accused of Spying on Users

Commack Blight Demolished
There is one less blighted property in Commack, now that the Town of Smithtown has demolished an abandoned structure on Jericho Turnpike, near the Smithtown border.

The property, located at 1131 Jericho Tpke., was cited in 2011 as one of at least 19 blighted properties in town. A building permit was granted Nov. 5 to raze the structure.

Commack Gaming Company Accused of Spying on Users
A Commack-based competitive gaming company, E-Sports Entertainment, has agreed to settle a $1 million case, in which it was accused of using illegally monitoring users’ computers to gain Bitcoins, according to a press release by the New Jersey’s attorney general.

Cabo Fresh Coming to Trader Joe's Shopping Center
Commack residents looking for a taste south of the border can look forward to Cabo FreshMex, coming soon to the Trader Joe's Shopping Center in Commack.

The California-based Mexican grill restaurant will take over the 2,800 square foot space, formerly occupied by Quiznos, on Jericho Turnpike at the southeast corner of Larkfield Road, according to New York Real Estate Journal.
