Black Friday couldn't come soon enough for some stores in Commack, so they decided to open up their doors to shoppers on Thanksgiving day, garnering some criticism from employees and customers.

Commack students collected gifts to send to children in need throughout the world this holiday season. They managed to gather enough items to fill 351 shoe boxes with toys, candy, school and art supplies and clothing. The boxes will be shipped to children ages 2 to 14 all over the world through the Samaritan’s Purse organization.
