Police Chase After Pilgrim State Worker Bolts with Suspicious Bag
An off-duty, part-time employee of the Pilgrim State Psychiatric Hospital, showed up to work Sunday with wires sticking out of a backpack. The Hospital alerted police, who were led on a car chase through Commack, which ended in a crash that injured three people.

Applebee's announced a record $735,000 in funds raised in support of Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation during 2013 and more than $4 million raised since 2005. 

This year, more than 700 restaurants nationwide, including 22 Applebee’s on Long Island, among them Commack, contributed to the effort to help cure pediatric cancer.
