First Friday Flick Night
Gather up the family to watch the movie "Joyful Noise" at the Commack United Methodist Church on Friday, 7:30 p.m. It's free and refreshments will be served. 

Multi-Family Yard Sale
Hunt for a bargain at the multi-family yard sale at 5 Rockland Court, Commack on Saturday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Items for sale will include baby items, toys, kitchen sets, clothing and more.

Household Hazardous Waste Event
The Town of Smithtown will host an event at the Kings Park Municipal Services Facility on Saturday, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Residents can bring unwanted materials in their original containers such as, but not limited to: 

  • Pesticides
  • Paint Remover
  • Pool Chemicals
  • Brake Fluid
  • Insect Spray
  • Varnish & Stains

Cut for a Cure
The Cutting Edge Salon of Commack will be hosting its annual Cut for A Cure with haircuts being $20 on Sunday, from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. The salon promises 100 percent of the proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society. There will also be food, music and raffles.

Caleb Smith State Park
Explore nature at Caleb Smith State Park with Fun for Kids's Autumn Discoveries on Sunday, from 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Celebrate the season by a short hike followed by an indoor craft. Register in advance. 

Borella's Harvest Fall Festival
Join Borella's Farm Stand in St. James every weekend in October including Monday, Oct. 8 on Columbus Day for their fall festival. Activities include pumpkin picking, corn maze, hay rides, facepainting, food, music and more.
