LA Fitness will celebrate the grand opening of its Commack location on Saturday.
From 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., visitors can enjoy complimentary sports amenities, snacks, prizes and entertainment.
Get there early for a Zumba class at 8:30 a.m. The gym will also be offering complimentary fitness assessments.
A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. and the BLI radio Street Team will be there from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. with a live DJ. Kids are invited to join the fun as well with face painting from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Legislator Steve Stern (D-Huntington) is teaming up with Island Harvest to collect non-perishable food items for area food pantries. Stern will be at ShopRite of Commack on Saturday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. collecting non-perishable goods for the food pantry.
