I'd like to know what is happening with the Town of Smithtown's contract with Jody Enterprises whose employees were caught stealing recyclables to the tune of $200,000. I'm assuming that those employees were fired but will the town cancel the contract with Jody Enterprises?

Hi Paul,
Thank you for the suggestion on our upcoming 2013 coverage. We ran an article on Dec. 17, 2012, that Town of Smithtown is still using Jody Enterprises to collect trash and recyclables despite the charges. You can read it here: http://patch.com/A-0zkJ Given your interest, we'll make a note to follow this story for local residents - Sara Walsh, Commack Patch editor.

I would like to see a follow-up on the effectiveness of red light cameras at the various Commack/Dix Hills intersections. A before-and-after comparison of the number of collisions at these intersections and also if there's been an uptick or decrease in the number of rear-end collisions.

Curious about power line maintenance. We have a chance now to make sure our infrastructure is more resistant to the effects of the next storm.

Also, I think an article about the people in our volunteer fire department would be interesting.

Joe: I don't think they will give you any contact info just in case you turn out to be some sort ofRead More kook or stalker. How would you like to be responsible for that security breach?

i believe the best way to locate your teacher is through the commack teachers association (cta).Read More contact the union president, tris stewart, and write a short note. include all the contact information you're comfortable with and wait a bit? 33 years is a long time. good luck.

Might want to google her and see what she's all about.
Ronnie Gavarian June 11, 2013 at 08:22 pm
I know exactly what she's about and that's why I'm trying to spread the word. She confronts theRead More lies and the deceit in the Affordable Care Act. And that needs to be brought to the forefront

Others who may not be familiar with her background should consider googling her...
