It's a new year, and time for a fresh start.
Whether it's the business beat, school news, government issues, police and fire happenings, or another topic close to your heart, now's the time to tell us what you'd like to see more of on Commack Patch. We welcome all suggestions, especially those that will make our Patch a better place to visit each day.
In 2012, we covered controversial issues such as proposal for a Hess gas station on the corner of Jericho Turnpike and Harned Road; Marion Carll heir's suing Commack School District for possession of Marion Carlll Farm; industrial zoning issues along Old Northport Road; and the fight to restore blighted properties in the Town of Smithtown.
Now we ask: What stories do you think Commack Patch should cover in 2013?
Log in to Patch and add your suggestion as a comment below, or if you'd prefer, send an email to sara-megan.walsh@patch.com.
Thank you for the suggestion on our upcoming 2013 coverage. We ran an article on Dec. 17, 2012, that Town of Smithtown is still using Jody Enterprises to collect trash and recyclables despite the charges. You can read it here: http://patch.com/A-0zkJ Given your interest, we'll make a note to follow this story for local residents - Sara Walsh, Commack Patch editor.
