This week, Suffolk County's libraries are displaying books that have been banned at certain places and times — "The Grapes of Wrath," "1984," "Uncle Tom's Cabin" — even the children's classic, "Green Eggs and Ham."
Suffolk Cooperative Library Systems has been posting a blog daily on Patch, introducing one banned book to our readers. They kicked off the week with "The Satanic Verses" by Salman Rushdie, followed today by the Harry Potter series by J.K Rowling.
