Anthony's Coal Fired Pizzeria is getting closer to an opening date.
A "Coming Soon" sign has been placed over the future restaurant's storefront in the Peppertree Commons Shopping Center near the intersection of Jericho Turnpike and Town Line Road.
Workers at the site said that they are hoping to get the business ready for opening in mid to late February.
The pizzeria chain was founded by Long Island native Anthony Bruno, and is based in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. The Commack location is 3,500 square-feet and formerly occupied by Big City deli and Turnbury Lady clothing retailer.
The chain is known for its method of using a 800-degree anthracite coal-burning oven to bake its pizzas and other menu items, according to its website.
The Commack location will become the franchise's fourth on Long Island, following its restaurants in Carle Place, Woodbury and Wantagh. The Wantagh restaurant opened Jan. 15.
