Applebee's Donates Thousands to Toys for Tots
Commack location gives nearly $5,000 to charity.
Commack's Applebee's location announced it raised $4,859 for the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation.
The sum is a small part of a staggering $315,000 raised in total for the charity by Doherty Enterprises, the owner and operator of the Long Island and Northern and Central New Jersey Applebee's restaurants. The money will aid the Toys for Tots program, which seeks to put a new toy in the hands of as many needy children as possible.
In the past 12 years, the 60 locations have donated nearly $2.5 million.
